The new college building for St Francis Xavier College, constructed within the confines of an existing courtyard, is a two storey steel framed structure on piled foundations.
The first floor is formed of steel beams acting compositely with a concrete/metal deck floor. The roof is formed of long span lightweight trusses supporting roof cladding.

This first phase of the redevelopment of the Ealing site at Ealing Hammersmith and West London College included the reinstatement of the fire damaged upper floor of the original Ealing School, built in 1913, but including a new column free floor in the roof space to accommodate a new Learning Resource Centre.
