This project consists of the civil and structural design of 274 units across two phases at the Shorncliffe Barracks site. Houses are constructed using timber trussed roofs, engineered joist upper floors, beam and block ground floors, using load bearing masonry supported on strip footings, with some plots requiring vibrocompaction to suit localised ground conditions. The apartment blocks are constructed using precast hollowcore upper floors, beam and block ground floor with load bearing masonry supported on piled ground beams.
