The clinker silos were post tensioned 60m diameter x 20m high chambers with a central reject silo 12m diameter x 38m high.
The main silo has 6 buttresses and 3 conveyer tunnels. The roof structure was structural steel clad with pre-cast concrete slabs.
Other silo designs include 79m high (54m chamber height) x 20m diameter post tensioned CF silos as well as inverted cone cement silos. Design codes used include DIN, US and Eurocodes.
